RedlineUK asks that any report of trafficking be made to the:
National Trafficking Hotline
0800 0121 700
RedlineUK has transferred its resources to the National Trafficking Hotline (NTH). Any reports received by SAFE will be passed on.
Reasons for this decision
The UK needs a dedicated national responder to reports of human trafficking. The creation of a National Trafficking Hotline is a major part of this campaign. Human trafficking is very costly to investigate and rather than SAFE duplicating the efforts of the NTH, has focused on delivering greater impact through new anti-trafficking projects.
We will seek to:
monitor the response of sex industry participants to the new NTH and check that sex industry participants are using it to report their suspicions
pass on to the NTH all our knowledge gained from our five years of operation
work collaboratively with the NTH to make it suitable for use by sex industry participants.
RedlineUK was created to take anonymous reports of suspicions of trafficking from sex industry participants... and it worked!
RedlineUK was created because SAFE identified that there wasn't an anonymous reporting mechanism for people to report their suspicions of trafficking. RedlineUK's success has proved that it is possible to get accurate, timely and complete reports from sex industry participants which would otherwise have gone unreported and remained unknown.
Thank you for your support
Thanks to an anonymous service whose sole concern was getting a full report; many victims of trafficking have been rescued. Trafficking victims have a very small chance of ever being rescued, so this is an amazing result and of indescribable significance to each person helped. Thank you to everyone who called and those who supported and promoted this project.
We are very proud of the results the RedlineUK project achieved.
